BOTOX® COSMETIC is the gold standard for prevention of wrinkle formation and treatment of wrinkles in the forehead, glabella, and around the eyes. BOTOX® COSMETIC injections are ideal to treat and prevent crow’s feet, frown lines, and the forehead wrinkles. At the same time, injection of BOTOX® COSMETIC for the crow’s feet can result in a pleasing brow lift.

There are other uses of BOTOX® COSMETIC other than around the eyes and forehead. BOTOX® COSMETIC can be injected around the mouth to prevent fine wrinkles. BOTOX® COSMETIC can also be injected into the neck to release platysma bands. Dr. Agullo also performs the Nefertiti Lift, which is comprised of a series of injections into the neck and jawline to provide a mild midface lift with BOTOX® COSMETIC. Dr. Agullo can also offer BOTOX® COSMETIC injections into the masseter muscles to create a slimmer face and jawline, which is very common among patients of Asian descent.

Finally, Dr. Agullo is one of the few plastic surgeons in El Paso and the Southwest, which offers BOTOX® COSMETIC injections for migraine headaches and axillary hyperhidrosis, also known as excessive axillary sweating. These last two treatments can often be provided through insurance coverage. To comply with insurance requirements for migraine headache botulinum toxin injections, most companies will ask for a history of chronic migraines affecting the patient at least 20 days each month with failure of control with at least two antimigraine and anti-inflammatory drugs. To comply with insurance requirements for axillary hyperhidrosis treatments with botulinum toxin, there must be a history of excessive sweating which interferes with normal daily activity and failure of topical prescription strength antiperspirants.
