Am I a Candidate for Brella™ SweatControl Patch™?
Candidates for Brella™ SweatControl Patch™ are adults over 18 in overall good health and who have suffered from one or more of the following issues:
- Excessive sweating in both underarms, at least once a week
- Excessive sweating even when you’re not exercising, anxious, or in a hot environment
- Excessive sweating that requires keeping a change of clothes with you
- Excessive sweating that stains or ruins your clothes
- Avoiding social situations because you are self-conscious about raising your arms or feel embarrassed because of your uncontrollable sweating
Patients whose sweating is related to a medical condition or medication are not candidates for Brella™ SweatControl Patch™. Additionally, anyone with active skin irritation in their underarms must wait to be treated until it clears up.
What Happens During My Brella™ SweatControl Patch™ Treatment?
When you come in for your Brella™ SweatControl Patch™ treatment, the adhesive patch is applied to your clean and dry underarm. Your provider will gently massage the patch for up to three minutes, during which time you may feel a sensation of warmth, tingling, or pins and needles. These are typically indications that the treatment is working.
Once the treatment is complete, the patch is removed and discarded, and your underarm is wiped clean. A new patch is placed on the other underarm, and the process is repeated. The entire treatment takes no longer than 20 minutes, after which you’re free to go about your day with no restrictions.
What Can I Expect From My Brella™ SweatControl Patch™ Results?
You will begin to see the results of your Brella™ SweatControl Patch™ medical sweat treatment within three to five days. It is proven to reduce sweating for up to four months, though some patients report that it lasts longer.
